Petrus (Peter) Bouwhuis

Petrus (Peter) Bouwhuis was born in The Netherlands in 1959. He has a degree in Electric & Electronic engineering, as well as Customs Law, EU TAX law, and logistics Management. He made a start in the international logistics over 40 years ago, and soon landed in the project freight, breakbulk, and heavylift cargo industry. Working for many companies in the freight forwarder industry, he was also involved in the ocean liner business, and has been an industry specific educator and lecturer since 2004.

Peter has worked as Projects Director Europe at Schenker International, President & CEO (and founder) of Skylon International Forwarders B.V. He worked for ABB Lummus Global in The Hague as European Manager Logistics for ABB LUMMUS GLOBAL (now CB&I Lummus). He has co-founded EP-Team Inc. in the US, and after a few years, re-joined ABB (HQ) in Switzerland where he was the Vice President Global Transport & Logistics, Global Heavy Lift & Project Cargo Manager, and Global Head of Logistics for ABB Division PS. He has held these positions for over 6 years.

Furthermore, Peter is currently the President & CEO, and founder, of the XELLZ Group of companies which is a Project Logistics Management and Consultancy company headquartered in the Netherlands with offices in the United States, Rep. of Ireland, Netherlands (HQ & operational offices), Germany, and Nigeria. He is the founder of the Project Freight Network (PFN), an exclusive project freight forwarders organization, and is the founder of the Breakbulk.News (BBN) channel, a major industry news channel.
